Since these words were penned by Jack Nicklaus on the occasion of Baltusrol’s centennial in 1995, the Club has continued to thrive and prosper. The courses have attained a level of conditioning and playability rarely seen in the world of golf. In 2000, the U.S. Amateur Championship marked the fifteenth national championship played at Baltusrol. In all, seven U.S. Opens have been played on these grounds. In 2005, Baltusrol hosted its first PGA Championship, one of the most successful majors ever conducted at Baltusrol, and in 2016 the PGA will return for its centennial.
