Birtley Golf Club is situated close to the A1 near to Chester-le-Street in County Durham, England.

 

Birtley is a parkland course measuring 5729 yards par 67, with testing par threes and 6 par fours over 400 yards. The Course is a nine-hole layout with 18 tees described as a little gem on the hillside of Birtley by Golf Monthly. Be prepared for a testing start as the first hole is a 238 yard par 3 followed by the second hole at 453 yards dog leg par 4.

 

Recently, we have made significant improvements to the course and the tremendous work carried out by our Head Greenkeeper and enthusiastic volunteers is now beginning to take effect. Members and visitors will have a very enjoyable golf experience this coming year.

 

Membership Fees are very competitive and fees for visitors are extremely good value at £10.00 for 18 holes or £8.00 when accompanied by a member. We have a small but active Ladies section who have regular competitions, league matches with other clubs and social events. Our Seniors have a thriving section with regular competitions and matches with other clubs during the summer.

 

Many events take place in the clubhouse including our monthly social evenings with high quality entertainment, Friday evening quiz and bingo and several other functions during the year.

 

Clubhouse facilities include a lounge, bar and dining room which are available for private bookings for Birthdays, Christenings, Weddings, Business Meetings and Training sessions.
