Overview
Geufron Hall is a beautiful seven-bedroom, six-bathroom, three-reception country house set in the Vale of Llangollen, an area so beautiful it is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and a World Heritage Site. Geufron Hall also has the bluest skies of any house in the United Kingdom, and the third bluest in the world…
Built in 1837, the house was owned for many years by Dr Drinkwater, the local GP. It fell into disrepair in the early twentieth century but was lovingly restored in the 1960s and is now for sale on the open market for the first time in nearly forty years. It still features many original fitments including stained glass windows reputed to have come from Valle Crucis Abbey and a marvellous wooden frieze in the sitting room that was hand-carved by the spinster sisters that lived here in the 1920s.
Formerly run as a B&B, the house would be ideally suited to a family that wanted to down-shift and earn a living from their home: there are four ensuite letting rooms; a separate three-bedroom house that could be used as a holiday let; plus a high-end, bespoke garden office for remote working. In addition, the grounds would be ideal for use with glamping pods and the old stables would make a wonderful barn conversion (subject to permission).
Alternatively it could be enjoyed as a spacious family home; there are good links to the major motorway networks, fast trains to the metropolitan centres, and the bustling town of Llangollen is only a short walk away but remote enough that dozens of countryside walks start from our front door.
