Basset Down Golf Course & Driving Range is situated between Royal Wootton Bassett and Wroughton, just 1.5 miles away from junction 16 of the M4 motorway.  Set under the backdrop of the North Chalk Downs, this challenging 9 hole, 3170 yard course (par 72 for 18 holes) sits in over 100 acres of mature parkland and is extremely well drained, rarely needing to close or use temporary greens.

 

At Basset Down Golf Course we pride ourselves on creating a friendly atmosphere, making sure everyone is welcome and offering a high level of customer service. We currently have an extensive 9 hole course, floodlit driving range with 20 bays, the experience of two full time teaching PGA Professionals, a super practice area, a small pro shop stocking all the essentials for a good round plus a bustling, licenced cafe which is well supported by golfers and non-golfers alike. Plans have been approved to extend to 18 holes and work has begun on this ambitious extension plan.

 

Primarily a ‘Pay & Play’ Golf Course, Basset Down welcomes players of all levels to our facility. We also have a very friendly and well supported membership and we offer the full range of membership choices at highly competitive prices.

 

Unlike many 9 hole courses Basset Down provides a quality, challenging round of golf to suit all. Both the quality and maintenance of our course are well known and respected. Our practice facilities are the best in the area and extensively used by both members and visitors alike. They include a 20 bay covered driving range, putting green and practice bunker. Being floodlit our driving range remains open throughout the year ensuring that you can always find a suitable time to practice.

 

The Parkland Café is extremely popular and well used by both golfers and non-golfers. It represents great value for money offering a full range of home cooked food and cakes. We are also fully licensed.
