The Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro is a very exclusive golf club which is home to two 18 hole golf courses: the Arriba course and the Abajo course.La Puerta de Hierro golf club is located North West of the capital of Madrid in central Spain.The golf club was founded in 1904 and the courses are know to be among the top golf courses in the country.The Arriba Course is the work of the combined efforts of several architects. The original design by Tom Simpson, then some modification by Harry Colt in 1912. John Harris remodelled the course in the 1970s and most recently Kyle Philips undertook the redesign and reconstruction of the golf course in the early 2000s.The golf club has been host to many prestigious tournaments throughout its history, most notably the Madrid Open from 1972 to 1993.

The golf courses are set in beautiful open parkland and are lined with incredible trees. The courses also boast breath taking views of the surrounding countryside.

The Arriba is an 18 hole golf course with a par of 72 and a length of 6504m.

The course has an incredible layout which makes for an exciting and challenging round of golf.
